DESIGN
ARCHIVES

Exploration in different aspects of designs and documenting my learning procress of 3D modeling and graphic design.

Using Rhinocerous to create 3D models with the help of coding in Grasshopper and learning how to use laser cutters and 3D printers to create organic shaped 3D models with ease.

Using Adobe Photoshop and Illsutrator to do graphic design, mostly for my co-currcular activity: SP Students' Sports Club

PROPOSALS

Based on an existing semi-detached bungalow for renovation, the client requested a Japandi interior with Peranekan accents.

After multiple revisions, these were my final proposed interior renders throughout the 22 weeks of consultations.

TOILETS

Proposed 3 different materials and lighting to compare. Rendered floorplans for both male and female toilets and 3D modeled one view from the male toilet

VORONOI

A vector and node structure is similar to molecular structuresNodes can be in the form of joints that join vectors together.

The team was tasked to create a sustainable design that could be used for the future of architectureWe used voronoi to create organic spaces, using vectors and nodes to join the foundation frame on its corners.

The upper storeys are residential units. The lift and stair core in the middle, the path, residents can easily access the lift from their units. Residents are also able to get together as the lift lobby is in the middle of the building.

Balconies are spread amongst the building on all 4 corners so that the views of the surrounding can be maximized.

Each level has the same layout as the upper storeys with only slight adjustments to the rotation of each unit. Units on the first floor can also be used as community service areas/as residential units depending on the decision taken by the owner of the building.
